I’ve only really dabbled in mods for Adventure, Generations, and fan games like SRB2 hah. I really need to spend more time checking out mods for the 2D games. Perfect balance of the original 3D controls and the modern boost method. idk all I can say is they’d make you do the chef kiss motion. The only known issue is that Classic Sonics eyelids sorta break when they move. This mod changes Modern Sonic and Classic Sonics models to the ones they had from Sonic Generations. I haven’t really checked out Dreams since launch so I apologize if these Dreams are no longer available, but there were some proof of concept 3D Sonic levels inside Dreams where the controls were just. This mod replaces Modern Sonics normal model with his model ripped straight from the Wii version of Sonic Colors. Sonic Roboblast 2 remains the pinnacle of Sonic fan creations IMO, but it’s not enough of a “mod” to justify talking about any further. Even though I had a Dreamcast growing up and that was where I first played SA1 and 2, I completely forgot what the original Dreamcast models looked like due to replaying the game so many times on the GameCube and 360. I replay Sonic Adventure at least once a year (I have no idea why), and for this most recent playthrough I decided to switch things up and use the Dreamcast Conversion mod for PC.

It’s kinda janky in some areas but the effect is still real neat. This mod takes away all the color/life (ie: textures) from the Sonic Generation levels when you first play them, so it’s similar to the actual story bit of returning life to all of these worlds.
